New Real-Time Civil War Blog

Just read at Justin Taylor’s blog about a new real-time Civil War blog called “Disunion” that looks about as cool as November.  Here’s its description:

One-hundred-and-fifty years ago, Americans went to war with themselves. Disunion revisits and reconsiders America’s most perilous period — using contemporary accounts, diaries, images and historical assessments to follow the Civil War as it unfolded.

In April of next year marks the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War, but those seeds were planting years—even decades before!  At this point, we will see how the election of Abraham Lincoln was the straw that broke the camel’s back for the South.  Follow along in the journey!
